Development and design

The AMX-30 DCA adapted the twin-30 mm DCA turret and radar concept to the roomier AMX-30 tank chassis. The larger vehicle improved ammunition capacity and platform stability. 1, 2

Operational use

France did not adopt the type in quantity, but Saudi Arabia purchased the system as part of its AMX-30 family, making the DCA primarily an export branch of French armored air-defense development. 1, 2
