An export family rather than one universal tankette

The AH-IV was a ČKD-Praga export tankette family whose customers required meaningfully different configurations. The account brings together Iranian vehicles, the Romanian R-1, Sweden's AH-IV-S or Strv m/37, and the postwar Ethiopian diesel version. The common concept was a small two-man tracked armored vehicle with machine-gun armament, but the engine, protection, weapon installation, and detail fittings were not identical across those branches. Swedish assembly similarly involves a distinction between local completion from the source of major components. Romanian R-1s were associated with cavalry reconnaissance and support. Accounts describe approval in 1937, assembly and deliveries extending through the following period, and eventual retirement in 1953. The broad delivery account is stronger than some claims about much later employment, which remain unresolved questions.
